UrZone® Frequently Asked Questions

From toddlers to adults, any individual who wanders at night-time, or is at risk of entrapment (with seizures or high night-time mobility), or who self-harms will be safe in a UrZone safety bed. Also sleepwalking, high anxiety, and disturbed sleep also fulfil the criteria for a safety bed which is a soothing, relaxing environment where individuals choose to go into to escape the world for a while even when it’s not bed-time yet. This is partly due to it being low sensory visually and auditorily which helps a person’s senses decompress after a busy, noisy day at school, college, work, etc.

Why should children have all the fun?! Our oldest customer was 69 at the time she received her UrZone and she’s now a changed woman! She is so happy and relaxed, living her best life with less pain and distress and her waking night service is now a sleeping service.

You would go to the person in the UrZone and help them exit the property safely. You wouldn’t leave a baby in a cot or a child in their room, it’s the same with the UrZone. We encourage families to engage with their local fire station and alert them to the fact there’s a UrZone in the home, where it is located and how to open it.

Because that’s not truly safe (too many families report waking up to find loved ones with broken noses, jaw, etc. from ramming them repeatedly during the night in a seemingly ‘safe’ room) and not conducive to sleep. You’ve just put a trampoline in the corner of an empty room for an individual to bounce upon. A mattress on the floor gives exposure to dust and no adequate air flow, more susceptible to illness if on a cold surface, and doesn’t stop a child from getting up at night / rolling off the mattress.
