About HKD Solutions

HKD Solutions Ltd is a family business, based in the UK, with a close connection to the needs and experiences of its customers.

The son of our Managing Partner, Heather Ling, has additional needs. It is through living with his daily challenges that inspired us to create our own range of products to make life better. Life in families with additional needs can be challenging enough, without missing the necessary equipment that would make the world of difference.

The desire to create a company which really helps solve problems was driven by the legacy of a family member, Dick Richardson, who was awarded an MBE for services to people with disabilities. He created The Phoenix Youth Club for Disabled in the 1950's, to help provide work and social opportunities to people who didn't have any. He fought stoically for the rights of disabled people when it was almost unheard of. It is Dick Richardson's strength, courage and passion that lives on in his family and which drives us on to improve life for those with additional daily challenges.

In Dick Richardson's memory we continue to strive to educate and provide 6 star customer service, to our customers and the health professionals supporting them.

Sleep deprivation is no joke. Most people can handle a night or two of broken sleep with little ill-effect, but when days turn into weeks, which turn into months and then years, it takes its toll.

We understand.

When you have a loved one with particular disabilities as we do, sadly sleepless or disturbed nights (or fearful nights if they have a seizure in an unsafe bed) go with the territory and a solution was sought.

HKD Solutions Ltd. was borne out of a desire to improve upon all other products in the marketplace that offer a possible solution to the night-time problems encountered. With the UrZone® we've achieved that objective, and know it can help you too.
